Barcelona Set for a Significant Payment

Details of Pedri's Personal Milestone and Barcelona's Financial Commitment with Las Palmas

Player Pedri joined FC Barcelona from Las Palmas in the summer of 2020, and on Tuesday, he reached the milestone of 100 appearances, having played at least 45 minutes in each match with the Catalan team. While this may be a historic moment for the 21-year-old youngster, Barcelona now has to make a substantial payment to his former club.

According to a report by Sports, the young player's appearances for Barcelona mean that the club has to pay an additional amount of 5 million euros (4.3 million pounds) to Las Palmas, bringing the total fees to 22 million euros (18.9 million pounds). However, the report adds that there are no further clauses for payment to Las Palmas regarding intermediaries, although they have a "15% share of the resale rights."

Pedri became the youngest goal-scorer in the history of Las Palmas at the age of 16 years, 9 months, and 23 days when he scored against Sporting Gijon in 2019. The Spanish international has played 116 matches for Barcelona, scoring a total of 17 goals.

Barcelona will return to La Liga action on Sunday in a home game against Atletico Madrid in a clash between the fourth and third-placed teams.
