Dembele is close to Paris

Saint-Germain's contract with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has become very close, with the player heading to Paris on a private trip.

Press lenses captured footage of Dembele, who was heading to Barcelona Airport to travel to the French capital.

And the cocky star benefited from giving Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez a 3-day holiday for the team after the end of the preparatory tour for the new season in the United States.

His colleague Jules Conde was also on board but his future with Barcelona is not in doubt, and he is expected to play an important role with the Catalan team next season.

Xavi had previously stated Dembele's desire to leave, saying, "I will be clear. Dembele asked to leave. He told us that he had an offer from Paris Saint-Germain."

The coach added "This is a personal decision, and we cannot do anything. It is bad for me because we took great care of him so that he would be happy and make the difference with us."

Fabrizio Romano, an expert on player transfers in Europe, said that Paris Saint-Germain has already booked a medical examination for the French star.

He added, through his Twitter account, that Dembele's contract with Paris will extend until the summer of 2028, to be signed on Saturday.

And he continued, "A special clause of 50 million euros was activated to include Dembele last Monday, and the main part of it went to Barca, and there is a part for the player and his agent."
