Illan Meslier expresses his desire to join Chelsea
Leeds goalkeeper is interested in joining Chelsea.
Leeds United has been relegated to a lower division and it's very likely that their goalkeeper, Illan Meslier, will leave the team.
Chelseais mentioned as one of his potential buyers.
But Meslier has said that he is only willing to go to Chelsea if he is guaranteed to be the first-choice goalkeeper.
“If it is to go and be on the bench, I’m not interested in that. If it’s to be the number one, of course, you can’t say ‘I’m not interested in Chelsea.’ I’d prefer to go to a less reputable club where I’ll have more game time than a top European club where I’d sit on the bench.”
he told Foot Mercato.
Meslier is under contract with Leeds until 2026, and it seems that Leeds wants to sell him for £30 million.
Meslier joined Leeds from Lorient in the 2019/20 season.
