Mark Flekken, the substitute goalkeeper for the Dutch national team, to join the ranks of the English club from
Freiburg.
Goalkeeper Mark Flekken 29 signed a 4-year contract with Brentford, who finished ninth in the Premier League last season.
Media reports stated that the value of the deal amounted to 13 million euros (13.8 million dollars).
"It is a completely new chapter for me, and it marks a big new step in my career," said goalkeeper Fleckin in statements published by Brentford.
He added, "If someone had told me seven years ago, when I was playing in the third division in Germany, that I would play in the English Premier League one day, I would probably have knocked him down."
