Kroos insists he doesn't feel sorry for Real Madrid outcast Hazard

Having not played a single minute for Real Madrid after the World Cup break, Hazard has been struggling for game time in Real Madrid. However, Kroos insists he cannot sympathize with the Belgian.

After joining Real Madrid from Chelsea in a deal worth €100 million in 2019, Eden Hazard failed to live up to expectations as he has scored only seven goals in 73 matches for Real Madrid.

He earlier revealed that he and Carlo Ancelotti "don't talk to each other" after he fell out of the Italian coach's favor. However, his teammate Toni Kroos claims he can't feel sorry for the Belgian winger.

Kroos told Belgian broadcaster

Eleven Sports

: "Compassion is out of place in football. I don't think Eden has a bad life.

"You can sympathize with people who are having a clearly worse time. It's not about money, I just don't feel sorry for anyone in football.

"Of course, the situation has been difficult for a long time, but after all, everyone is responsible for their own situation to some extent.

"That's why I think pity is misplaced. I know Eden very well, we talk often, but I only sympathize with people who are in very bad situations and Eden is not one of them."
