reports that Fraser Forster has been called up to replace the Newcastle United's keeper and will join Jordan Pickford and Aaron Ramsdale.

Forster joined Tottenham on a free transfer as a backup option in the summer but due to Hugo Lloris' serious knee injury, he has made 13 appearances for the Spurs this season, keeping four clean sheets. The 35-year-old has been capped 6 times by England, the last coming in a 2-1 friendly defeat against the Netherlands in 2016.

Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini praised Forster recently, he said: “I like Fraser like a man, because he is a very good man.

“His behavior this season was perfect. Every day, he pushes himself to train really hard and, with this behavior, he pushes Hugo to train very hard.

“We trust in him. We completely trust in him.”

England will face Italy on Thursday in Naples before hosting Ukraine in Euro 2024 qualification round.
