Henry rejects France’s women's offer for the USMNT job

After sacking Corinne Diacre, France are without a head coach just four months before the Women's World Cup. Thierry Henry has reportedly rejected the position in order to become USMNT's new head coach.

France is without a head coach just four months before the Women's World Cup after sacking Corinne Diacre and a mass walkout of stars. The job is reportedly offered to the former France international but he rejected the offer for the USMNT according to

The French federation (FFF) committee member Jean-Michel Aulas told Le Figaro: "

I personally asked [Henry] the question, but the response was not positive. He was obviously very flattered that he was asked. We did it because we were told he might be interested. But it will not be Thierry Henry. I think he is moving on to other projects."

Thierry Henry left his role as manager of Montreal Impact in 2021 and rejoined the coaching staff of Belgium before the Euro 2020, but left his role after the 2022 World Cup following Roberto Martinez’s departure.

Henry who works as a pundit for CBS Sports channel said he is interested in taking the United States head coach vacancy role.  The United States is without a manager after Gregg Berhalter's contract expired after the 2022 World Cup.
