AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo rejects a move to Bournemouth

Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo has rejected Bournemouth's offer despite the prospect of a significant pay rise.

According to Sky Sports Italy,

Nicolo Zaniolo

has turned down Bournemouth’s offer.

Bournemouth's

representatives travelled to

Roma

to meet with Zaniolo's agent in order to convince him to join them but in the end, he rejected their offer.

Sky Sports claims that Roma is angry about Zaniolo’s decision and is thinking to take disciplinary measures against him.

Tottenham is also interested in signing Zaniolo, but they only want to sign him on a loan deal. Sky Sports also reports that Roma has rejected a £17.6m offer from Milan for Zaniolo and wants around £26.4m to sell him.

Bournemouth is the only club that is willing to pay Roma’s asking price, but the Italian international is not interested in joining them, and it's likely for the player to stay at Roma for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old midfielder was recently booed by Roma fans and his agent revealed that he has no intention to extend his contract beyond 2024.

Zaniolio joined Roma from Inter in 2018. He has scored 24 goals in 128 matches for Giallorossi, including the winning goal in the Europa Conference League Final last season. Zaniolo has scored twice in 19 games in all competitions this season.
