Casemiro: Rashford can become one of the five best players in the world

Eric Ten Hag decided to put

on the bench against Wolves on Saturday after oversleeping and missing a team meeting but the English striker came into the pitch in the second half and scored the winner for his team. He also scored another goal but it was ruled out when VAR spotted his ricocheted effort had gone in off of his arm.

The 25-year-old Rashford has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season. He also scored three goals for England at the World Cup in Qatar.

After the game,

admitted he was surprised by how good Rashford is.

"I'm going to be very honest with you, I was really surprised by the player that Rashford is,"

said Casemiro.

"In my opinion, especially knowing the player off the pitch, if he does well he can be one of the five best players in the world.”

After a 1-0 victory away from home against Wolves on New Year's Eve,

finished 2022 in the Premier League's top four, although Tottenham can go back ahead of them by beating Aston Villa on Sunday. United’s next match is against Bournemouth on Tuesday at home.
