’s number one target in the transfer market since the summer. The Reds failed to sign him in the summer and it is unlikely that he will leave Dortmund in January.

Real Madrid and Manchester City also are interested in the English midfielder who Dortmund values at around €150 million.

Henderson was spotted alongside Bellingham on multiple occasions during the World Cup and it seems they have a close relationship. Virgil van Dijk admitted that he spoke with Cody Gakpo about joining Liverpool and Henderson was asked whether he is also taking up the role of an agent in a bid to bring Bellingham to Anfield.

Henderson told Viaplay :

"No, I don't think so.

"We were concentrated on playing in a World Cup. Whether people do talking because I get on with Jude but, with England, everyone gets on well. I'm sure for Virg it is nice to have another familiar face come in. It's very positive and hopefully he [Gakpo] can finish the season strongly for us. Hopefully he can come in and give us a boost.

“He's someone fresh and has done fantastically well for PSV and in the World Cup as well for Holland. He looks like an exciting player and I'm sure he will settle in quickly.”

Liverpool beat Leicester City 2-1 on Friday to finish 2022 with four consecutive victories in the Premier League.

He added:

"I think we are disappointed with the goal but pleased with the reaction. We kept going and deserved the three points in the end. I don't think we can think too far ahead, there's no point thinking about the end of the season."
