Santos chides Ronaldo for his behavior against South Korea

Portugal boss Santos insists that Ronaldo’s transfer talk doesn’t have any effect on Portugal’s performances while also being cross with him because of his behavior against South Korea.

Ahead of their Tuesday game against Switzerland, Fernando Santos opens up about a couple of issues surrounding

Portugal

’s superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese manager was annoyed at

Ronaldo

after the former United striker had a spat with Cho Gue-Sung as he was being substituted. Ronaldo’s anger at first was seemingly directed at Santos but he confirmed after the match that he wasn’t frustrated with being taken off and his intended target was Cho.

However, the incident alone seemed to be enough to draw Santos’ ire , as he told the reporters: "

Did I see the images? I did. Did I like it? Not at all. I really didn't like it at all.

"But from then on, these matters are resolved internally. From there, we think about the next game, for which everyone will be focused. The matter is over."

When Santos was asked about Ronaldo’s potential high-profile transfer to Saudi Arabian side

Al Nassr

, he replied:

"I haven't spoken to him about this. I didn't know about this.

"Someone only told me a few minutes ago. But that's his decision, and something that he has to deal with. We are focused on the World Cup and this team."
