QPR coach Michael Beale replaces van Bronckhorst as the Rangers coach

After an impressive start to his coaching career at Queens Park Rangers, former Rangers and Aston Villa assistant coach has accepted to join Rangers as head coach to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst that has recently been sacked by the club.

Besides helping Gerrard take

to a Premiership title for the first time in a decade, Beale has also had the experience of working at Liverpool and Chelsea’s academies as well as working with Gerrard again last year when he took over at Aston Villa.

Beale helped QPR top the Championship in October after which he was approached by Wolves to take the head coach role which he turned down. But he has since said yes to the Rangers job offer, leaving his post at QPR immediately.

Following his announcement on Monday, Beale went on to say:

"It is fantastic to be back and to see everybody this morning. There are some new faces but some people that I know really well so it is great to see everyone.

"I am hugely proud, it is a wonderful, wonderful football club, it is an institution. For everyone that works here it is a huge privilege, but to be the manager of this football club, that is extremely special. Some wonderful people have sat in this chair prior to me, and I am hugely proud to be the person sat here now."

Former Rangers coach, van Bronckhorst, was sacked after the club produced the worst Champions League group stage finish with a goal difference of -20. The club also sit 9 points behind Celtic in the league.
