Ghana 3-3 South Korea: Smart Ghana moves past explosive South Korea

In yet another thrilling World Cup match, Ghana defeat Korea 3-2 as Kudus scores a brace.

The

Black Stars

were able to get their first win in the 2022 World Cup in a thrilling match that saw the South Korea be the better team despite losing in the end.

Bento’s men started the match well, eager to become the second team in the World Cup to have 6 points after the second match but Ghana proved a smart opponent in the first half as they managed to score from two crosses coming from the left flank.

Mohammed Salisu put Ghana ahead with a headed effort from a free kick in the 24th minute despite the run of the game before 10 minutes later Mohammed Kudus scored to make it 2-0 to Ghana.

Despite controlling much of the first half, South Korea went into the break being 2-0 down but the second half was another story as Korea came back firing from the get-go

A few attempts at Ghana’s goal were made before Cho Gue-Sung managed to score a brace twice in the span of 3 minutes between 58th minute and the 61st.

Ghana seemed to have lost the plot in the second half as

Korea

geared up to finish the come back and win the game but yet another smart play by Ghana led to a cross from the left flank which was fumbled by Inaki Williams and passed to Kudus who completed his brace, putting Ghana up 3-2.

Korea had a few good chances after Ghana’s third goal but were unable to finish any of them, resulting in their loss which moves Ghana to the top of Group H table, leaving Korea at the bottom with a point from two games. South Korea manager Paulo Bento was also sent off after the whistle was blown as he protested for a last-minute corner, leaving South Korea without their manager in their final game against Portugal.
