Inter monitoring Valencia's Jesus Vazquez after Pedraza failure
The Serie A giants turned their attention to La Liga for the left-back position as they were linked with a move for Barcelona’s Jordi Alba and later Villarreal’s Pedraza. After failing to meet Villarreal’s €22m demands, they have turned their attention to Jesus Vazquez.
tried to sign Barcelona's left-back Jordi Alba on loan last summer but the Catalan giants rejected the deal. After that, Inter reportedly opened up negotiations for Villarreal's 26-year-old fullback
Alfonso Pedraza. Reluctant to pay the Yellow Submarines’ €22m, the Nerazzurri has reportedly turned their attention to Valencia’s 19-year-old left-back,
Jesus Vazquez.
The highly-rated left-back has Valencia captain
Jose Gaya
in front of him in the pecking order as Los Che is likely to accept a fee of around €10m, per reports from
Todofichajes. Valencia has a long history of producing world-class left-backs including Gaya, Juan Bernat, and Alba as Vazquez has everything to be the latest addition to that list.
Sky Sport Italia earlier reported that Juventus and Inter are monitoring
Alejandro Grimaldo
and planning an offer.
With three assists and a goal through 18 games this season, Grimaldo has proven to be a valuable contributor as a left-back in an attacking system. It has been said, however, that if he could choose any future destination, he would want to return to Barcelona, the city of his dreams.
