Spalletti: "So far we can say that Napoli are at a good level"

Luciano Spalletti stressed Napoli's desire to beat Rangers in the Champions League tomorrow.

After 15 games in Serie A and the Champions League, the Partenopei were undefeated and are on top of both league tables.

Napoli

appear invincible and poised for success this season.

Luciano Spalletti

addressed tomorrow's Rangers match in a press conference.

“In all competitions you have to put your best foot forward, the difficulties are to repeat things every time, put in all the qualities you need, you have to go hard.

“Winning tomorrow then could prove fundamental because it would allow us to go into the game with

Liverpool

with 15 points and it would allow us to use the goal difference in our favour, so a win would be fundamental for the last game. I always choose the formation to win, not for the turnover. Then on the possibility of having strong players out wide, it gives me the alternative of being able to let others play.

“In practice, we came back at 2am from Rome, in the morning at 11am it’s difficult to develop training, even today those who played did a diversified session. They still have to recover and so having a level squad we have the possibility to change something and we will. We will have three or four fresh players.”

Spalletti asked if Napoli's success has caused hostility this season.

“So far we can say that we are at a good level, there has never been the sobering result, but we have always used the qualities that we have.

“We have never been seriously challenged by the opponents, but it’s about so far and we must not dwell on what we have done, but find a solution for what we can become and this requires us to be better and better and look for new solutions because we have players who sometimes find things that are above average, like Osimhen’s goal in Rome.”

“Then let’s imagine if I answer someone like Mourinho, with the history he has, if he says something I have to be careful to understand something else. We are happy with what we are doing.”

Spalletti gave his thoughts on the Rangers and their recent struggles.

“I saw the last games, I found many things done well, Van Bronckhorst is a quality coach and knows how to find solutions. In the last game against Liverpool at the end of the first half it was 1-1 and they had other clear situations to score.

Finally, Spalletti confirmed Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa's return and whether

Tanguy Ndombele

met his expectations.

“It’s a mistake to think they are an easy team, we won’t think that. We will go to give our best otherwise it would mean not having the winning DNA. Anguissa is part of the squad. Yes, I’m satisfied, if he played the next time… the Maradona’s Champions League chant is our own copyright. Is that a good answer for you?!”
