Lisandro Martinez happy about "special" United chant
Ajax rejected two offers from Arsenal for Martinez this summer before finally joining the Red Devils as the Argentine reveals his love for his new club after a 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
During their 2-0 victory over the Spurs on Wednesday, Man United fans revealed their love for their new defender with a chant as Erik ten Hag praised the Argentine's performance.
However, ahead of their weekend clash with Chelsea, Lissandro Martinez insists he should not get all the credit for Man United's defense.
"I think [it was] not only me, but all the players, we did a fantastic job," the Argentine said. "We deserved [the win] because we trained really hard to get this."
On the chant Man United fans sang for him, Martinez said: "Last night, it was very emotional for me to receive that love from the fans.
"I'm really happy because I came from nothing. To come here [to United], one of the best clubs in the world. It’s very special."
