Juventus confirmed: Di Maria will reach the World Cup

There were concerns about the possible absence of the Argentine star in the World Cup in Qatar.

Juventus confirmed that Angel Di Maria will be sidelined for 20 days but will not be fit for the World Cup.

The 34-year-old star left the pitch in tears during Juventus' 2-0 loss against Maccabi Haifa and it was said that he would not be able to accompany his team to the World Cup. But today, the result of the medical test shows that Angel Di Maria will definitely be in the Argentina national team in Qatar 2022 World Cup. According to the announcement of the Juventus club, the tests showed that Di Maria has a severe injury in the right thigh and will be out of action for at least 20 days.

Thus, the Bianconeri technical staff hope to have Angel Di Maria in time for the crucial match in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain on November 2, otherwise Argentine star will be able to accompany Juventus for the next match against Inter on November 6.

Club's statement reads:

"The diagnostic tests that Di Maria underwent this morning at the J| Medical showed a low-grade lesion of the femoral biceps of the right thigh.

"It will take about 20 days for its complete recovery."

Angel Di Maria has not had an easy time since arriving in Turin in the summer and he was injured immediately after his first game against Sassuolo. After that, the player was banned and now another injury has happened to him. But it seems that Angel Di Maria will definitely reach the World Cup and Lionel Scaloni's mind is probably relieved after hearing this news.
