Braithwaite remembers the day he knew his Barca tenure was over

The Danish star had a difficult time at Camp Nou but left the Blaugrana in the summer.

Martin Braithwaite claims he remembers the day he realized his time at Barca was over.

The Danish star joined Barcelona in February 2020 in an unexpected transfer. He played 58 games for the Blaugrana and scored 10 goals, but was never included in the starting lineup and was out for 5 months after an injury in August 2021. Now Braithwaite claimed that he remembers well the day he realized his time at Barca was over.

He said:

“I think it was clear that after my injury I wasn’t going to play, and I didn’t need anyone to come and tell me. It was just a kind of natural deal where I knew I had to go through what my options were. The truth is that when I look back I can only remember good times and positive things, like the number of good people I’ve met. I can only say positive things about my time at Barcelona.”

The 31-year-old star was one of those players that Barca tried hard to sell. The fans were also not satisfied with his presence in Camp Nou and protested against him many times.
