Gerrard revealed his solution for Aston Villa

manager Steven Gerrard claimed that his team should be able to completely change the situation.

Villa has performed very poorly in the new Premier League season and has suffered 4 defeats in their 5 games. Although it was expected that after the victory against West Ham, their process would change, but with another defeat against Arsenal, the fans of the team were once again disappointed. Gerrard expressed his displeasure with his team's performance and proposed his solutions to get out of the crisis.

He told

: 

"We need to stop conceding goals.

"From a defensive point of view, the effort and application has certainly been there. We have a lot of people dying for the cause. Our goalkeeper is making saves, our defenders are making blocks, we are winning certain duels and situations.

"But against these high-level teams it is about the detail."

Gerrard completed his claims with an example: 

"The two goals we conceded - and a lot of goals we have conceded - have been down to individuals.

"Showing someone the wrong way rather than on their weaker side." 

"Are you getting up to people and closing them down or are you just getting up to people and pressing with your eyes? It is these little last bits of the defensive detail that you have to get right at the top level because if you don't, the best players in the world will hurt you.

"That is the reason we are in the position we are in."

from Dortmund in the summer, has scored nine goals in five games so far and is the top scorer. Gerrard praised him and his exceptional performance before their match against Man City.

"He is very different. A physical specimen. From afar we knew that he had world-class ability and he is certainly backing that up right now.

"So, hopefully Pep gives him a rest tomorrow (Saturday)."
