Benzema sitting second on Madrid’s all-time goalscoring charts

After his successful attempt, Benzema’s tally became 324 goals for Madrid, which put him ahead of Raul, but he is still tracing Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 450 goals.

Eintracht were not able to secure a victory or a draw for themselves and their attempts were not successful.

Madrid won the Super Cup for the fifth time as they vanquished Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday. This means they won nine of the last 10 editions.

Moreover, Carlo Ancelotti is the first coach to have delivered four European Cup/Champions League titles with May’s final win over Liverpool, and with his latest success, he is the most decorated boss of the Super Cup.

Madrid’s season will start on Sunday against Almeria, while Frankfurt will go against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
