PSG is incredible, I feel at home - Donnarumma

The 23-year-old showed his love for the Ligue 1 side before the start of his second season in Paris.

Gianluigi Donnarumma

, the Italian goalkeeper, did not have an easy start to life at

Paris Saint-Germain

as he had to share the spot with Keylor Navas. He only played in 16 games and in the Champions League, the infamous ball at his feet by Karim Benzema happened, which resulted in PSG being eliminated from the competition.

The Italy international talked to Sky Sports and expressed his happiness at PSG before the beginning of the next season.

“I really feel at home here, I feel really good. This club is something incredible, you can’t explain it. This is a family and I’m happy to be here, I want to stay here as long as possible and make history for this club.”

He then talked about the changes after Christophe Galtier and his staff arrived.

“We work a lot with the coach, we’re happy with the new staff. He likes the high press, I have to cover spaces well but I have already worked on these concepts so there are no problems.

“We work together with the defence to be entwined; we want to recover the ball as soon as possible. With the three-man defence it hardly changes, we just need to adjust some things.”

In his first season with the Parisians, Donnarumma appeared in 23 games across all competitions. He conceded 23 goals and nine of his games were clean sheets. His contract at the club will keep him until 2026.
