Arsenal confirmed Odegaard as Gunners new captain

Martin Odegaardwill wear the armband as the team's captain next season.
Last season, after the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette inherited the armband, but with the departure of the French striker, the gunners did not have a captain for the next season. Odegaard was expected to be chosen as the club's new captain and Mikel Arteta had also raised the issue.

Now the club has announced that the Norwegian star will be the captain of the team from next season and will wear the armband in the final pre-season game of Arsenal against Sevilla in the Emirates Cup.
Odegaard joined Arsenal on loan from
Real Madridin January 2021 and made his transfer permanent in August last year. He played 50 games for his team and recorded 8 goals and 6 assists.
