Laporta: Raphinha wants to join Barcelona over Chelsea

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says Leeds United star Raphinha wants to join the Catalan club.

Joan Laporta on Saturday confirmed

Barcelona

is in negotiations with Leeds United over the

Raphinha

transfer.

Leeds already has accepted a 60 million euros offer from Chelsea for Raphinha and it has been reported that Barcelona is ready to pay around 60 million euros in three installments.

Barcelona reached an agreement over personal terms with the 25-year-old Raphinha months ago. Barcelona has been Raphinha's preferred choice and his agent, Deco, has recently been in Catalunya, where he met with the leaders of Barcelona to try to find a way for this transfer to happen.

"We've spoken to Leeds, I don't think they will be offended. We have communication and we have spoken personally,"

Laporta told reporters on Saturday.

"What happens is that there are other clubs that want Raphinha and are making their proposals. He wants to come.”

Laporta also confirm that

Franck Kessie

and Andreas Christensen will officially join Barcelona this week on free transfers.

He added:

"We will present Kessie on Wednesday and Christensen on Thursday."

Barcelona also is interested in signing Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde. They are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Ousmane Dembele over his contract extension.
