Fulham rival Lazio for AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli

Lazio risks missing out on Alessio Romagnoli to Premier League side Fulham.

Lazio has been in talks with

Milan

captain

Alessio Romagnoli

for months and he was close to joining Lazio on a free transfer this summer but the latest reports in Italy suggest that no agreement has been reached yet between both sides.

Romagnoli has an offer from Fulham and if

Lazio

doesn't improve their offer in the coming days he is going to join the English club after his contract with Milan expired at the end of June.

Lazio is offering him an offer worth €2.8m net per season plus add-ons but Romagnoli wants €3.2m net per season plus add-ons.

Lazio also has failed to sign Atalanta player Marco Carnesecchi so far and according to the Italian press, these things has affected relationship between coach Maurizio Sarri and sporting director Igli Tare.

Lazio pre-season training will start soon but the club has failed to sign Sarri’s targets so far and failure to sign Romagnoli will make the situation worse.

Milan offered the 27-year-old Italian center back an extension worth €2.5m net per season plus bonuses compared to the current €5.5m net he earns but  Alessio Romagnoli has rejected this offer and Milan refused to increase their offer.

Romagnoli joined Milan from Roma in 2015 for €25.5 million. His contract expires at the end of the season.
