Loftus-Cheek’s agent hints Lazio transfer amid Blues swap deal reports

The representative of Ruben Loftus-Cheek has rejected that there was any contact between Lazio and the Blues for the midfielder; however, he has not yet ruled out the chance of a contract taking place as there are rumors of interest from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

While there are rumors surrounding

Romelu Lukaku

and

Raheem Sterling

, their priority is yet reinforcing defense, and the midfield situation at

Chelsea

is on the back burner.

According to reports, Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek are considering their options for the future ahead of potential moves to

Serie A

. The reason is that the ex-Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is eager on penning a contract with a player who thrived under his management during their work together in West London. In addition, Sarri is also hoping to acquire the services of Emerson Palmieri and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Milinkociv-Savic has also attracted the attention of the Blues if a midfielder was to leave their ranks at the end of his month. However, Barnett, Loftus-Cheek’s agent, revealed that there has not been a contact made between the two sides yet, but he did not rule it out.

"Lazio have not spoken to Chelsea as far as I’m aware, but Maurizio Sarri is a fan of Ruben [Loftus-Cheek] and he likes Serie A. Let’s see what happens,

" he told Italian outlet II Messaggero. It is not yet clear as to what Thomas Tuchel thinks of a departure for his number 12 in the summer, as he has told him to get the best out of his talents while there are ups and downs in this career.

"He needs to push himself to the limit; he needs to be physical,"

Tuchel said in the latter stages of 2021/22.

"Had a bit of a shy game against Arsenal, like everyone. A calm first-half against Crystal Palace and stepped up in the second-half physically and with ball recoveries and dribbles. Suddenly the crowd was there too. This is what we demand from him. He is a calm person."
