Fabregas will leave Monaco at the end of June

The Spanish veteran intends to continue playing football, but his destination is still unknown.

Monaco

have confirmed that

Cesc Fabregas

will leave the club at the end of the month.

The former

Arsenal

, Barcelona and Chelsea star suffered a number of injuries last season, playing just two games in Ligue 1, with Monaco finishing third behind Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.

Club's statement reads:

"The midfielder with more than 830 career games, whose contract is coming to an end, leaves the principality club three and a half years after his arrival..

"AS Monaco thanks Cesc Fabregas for his [time] at the club and wishes him the best for the future. Moltes gracies, Cesc!"

Fabregas joined Monaco in January 2019 and had previously announced that he intends to continue playing football after leaving Monaco.

He has played for Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea and has won many honors with these teams.
