Pirlo explains why he accepted Fatih Karagumruk's offer

Andrea Pirlo talked to Fatih Karagumruk about why he decided to move to Turkey.

Andrea Pirlo

explained his decision to join

Fatih Karagumruk

in Turkey, stating that he had spoken to a number of clubs prior to making a move.

After the departure of

Maurizio Sarri

in the summer of 2020, the 43-year-old Italian will take over as

Juventus

' first-team coach. His first actual coaching experience and he couldn't stop Bianconeri's gradual deterioration.

When he arrived in Turin, he acquired the Coppa Italia and

Supercoppa Italiana

brands, but he failed to come up with a compelling business plan, and he was promptly fired after just a single year.

At a news conference, Pirlo explained why he decided to take on the role of head coach under Fatih Karagumruk. "It's necessary for me to restart after a year of inactivity. The goals of this team convinced me to join here, even if I had discussions with other teams both in Italy and overseas."

After a difficult season in Turin, Pirlo will be looking to resume his coaching career, and the opportunity to work in a different league affords him the opportunity to do so. Pirlo has lots of room to grow after Fatih Karagumruk finished eighth in the Super Lig this season.
