Hazard: I am very excited for next season
Real Madrid forward is confident that he will manage to rediscover his form.
The 31-year-old
Hazardwon the La Liga and the Champions League with
Real Madridlast season but just played for 713 minutes in LaLiga.
Hazard joined Real from Chelsea in 2019 for a reported €
100 million
fee and has a contract with them until 2024. During this time he has just scored 6 goals and provided 10 assists in just 66 appearances in all competitions.
He told a Real Madrid supporters' group in Belgium:
"I know I'm indebted to the president, to the wonderful Madrid fans who gave me an incredible welcome at the Bernabeu, and to my teammates and my coach,"
he said.
"This season I am very excited to finally demonstrate what I have not been able to demonstrate since I arrived in Madrid."
On his ankle injury, Hazard added:
"It doesn't hurt anymore and I feel much better. The injury is already forgotten."
Eden Hazard
didn't get his name on the scoresheet in
Belgium's 6-1 win over Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday but played for 66 minutes.
Belgium will face Wales on Saturday and then on next Wednesday will play with Poland again.
