Lukaku off injured in Belgium's first Nations League match

Belgium were handed a setback in the first of their four Nations League encounters this month, with Romelu Lukaku injured against the Netherlands.

Romelu Lukaku

played less than 30 minutes in Belgium's first match of the Nations League on Friday against the

Netherlands

.

The

Chelsea

forward, who had a rough first season back at Stamford Bridge, started up front for Roberto Martinez's team in Brussels. But Lukaku was down for a long time after he and

Manchester City

defender

Nathan Ake

got into a fight in the middle of the first half.

Lukaku had to be treated for a long time while his teammates from Belgium called for a red card or at least a foul. The last man, Ake, was not sent off. The striker finally got up and kept playing, but he had to stop soon after when he tried to tackle Frenkie de Jong.

The former Manchester United and Inter player made it clear right away that he needed to be taken off, so Martinez put Leandro Trossard on as a substitute.
