No agreement between Chelsea and Perisic

Chelsea is interested in signing the 33 year old Ivan Perisic as a free transfer this summer.

The Italian press reported earlier today that

Chelsea

has reached an initial agreement to sign

Ivan Perisic

on a free transfer but Fabrizio Romano claims Chelsea is interested in signing him since January but there is no agreement at the moment.

Romano says

Inter

is still hopeful to reach an agreement with Perisić but they need to improve their offer.

The Croatia international has been demanding a new three-year contract worth just under £100,000 a week but Inter is only offering a two-year deal worth around £65,000 a week.

Perisic is not happy with Inter and criticized the club after he scored twice in the win over Juventus in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday evening.

He said about his future:

"I don’t know anything yet. With important players, you don’t wait to the last minute. You ought to know that too."

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport,  Newcastle and Juventus are also interesed in Perisic.

Perisic has scored seven goals and registered six assists in Serie A so far. He joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015. He spends the 2019-2020 season with Bayern with a loan contract.

With important players, you don’t wait to the last minute. You ought to know that too.’
