While playing FIFA 22, Alphonso Davies was caught on camera wondering why Harry Maguire was chosen as Manchester United captain instead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
As per Bayern Munich winger Alphonso Davies, Cristiano Ronaldo should take over as
Manchester Unitedskipper from Harry Maguire.
A video clip of the Canada international making the astounding judgment while playing FIFA 22 on Twitch has emerged on YouTube.
Maguire is under a lot of scrutiny at Manchester United, they are now seventh in the
Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Following a string of poor displays and high-profile gaffes, elements of the Wembley crowd booed the England international during the Three Lions' recent friendly against Ivory Coast.
Many have brought into question why Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in August, was not given the captain's armband.
And when Davies got Maguire in a pack in the Ultimate Team game mode, he went on a small rage.
The
Bundesligaleft-back turned down his music and said:
"Can you guys imagine?! Can you guys imagine?!
"You're Ronaldo; one of the greatest players ever. And what's his name is your captain? Harry Maguire is your captain?!
"And you refer to him as 'yes cap' – I don't know what he says to him.
"I'm not dissing Harry Maguire, but Ronaldo should get the armband."
