Mount expresses his worry about uncertainties around Chelsea ownership

Mason Mount is hoping that the crisis may be handled as soon as possible, with Chelsea up for sale and their future unknown.

Blues proprietor Roman Abramovich, who was blacklisted by the UK government after Russia's assault on Ukraine, placed the club up for sale earlier this month, and

Chelsea

playmaker Mason Mount confesses he is worried about the uncertainties surrounding a buyout.

Due to his strong relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Abramovich's assets were blocked, but he may still seek a special license to sell the club.

Several prospective parties, including British millionaire and boyhood Blues supporter Nick Candy and the Ricketts family, investors of the Chicago Cubs, as well as Centricus, led by Nizar Al-Bassam and Garth Ritchie, made approaches.

Mount is presently on international duty with

England

, having appeared in the 2-1 win against Switzerland at Wembley on Saturday.

And the Chelsea academy product, who leads the

Premier League

with eight goals this season, is hoping that the issue at his club may be sorted as soon as possible.

"I've been at the club since I was six years old and something like this has not happened before, so it can be a concern," he said.

"At the beginning, and even now, we don't really know where it’s going and what’s happening the next day. When I'm away with England, that stuff is kind of parked.

"The break probably does help and hopefully by the time we go back, some things are sorted out, or we have some answers about what's going on. But we'll see."
