Napoli keen on signing Chelsea and Tottenham defenders
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, with Roma demanding at least €20 million for Marash Kumbulla, Napoli are reportedly eyeing Tottenham's Davinson Sanchez and Chelsea's Malang Sarr.
The Partenopei are looking for an alternative for
Kostas Manolas
, who has returned to Greece and signed a definitive deal with Olympiacos.
Kumbulla is their top priority, but Roma's financial expectations are too much for Napoli. The Giallorossi demand at least €20 million for the ex-Hellas Verona defender and are unwilling to offer him on loan with a purchase option.
They may take a loan with a purchase obligation, but only up to €20 million.
For these reasons, Napoli is now exploring elsewhere, and according to Il Corriere dello Sport,
Premier Leagueplayers
Sarr
and
Sanchez
are both amongst their winter transfer objectives.
Sarr has struggled for playing time at Chelsea and has been rumored to move to Milan.
Federico Pastorello
, Romelu Lukaku's agent, is in charge of discussions with Italian clubs.
Sanchez, on the other hand, has started five of Antonio Conte's six Premier League matches for Tottenham Hotspur; therefore, it remains to be seen whether the Lilywhites would agree to trade the 25-year-old on a loan basis.
Napoli are also monitoring Fenerbache's Attila Szalai, but Chelsea retain the favorites to sign the 23-year-old, who is valued at €20 million.
