River Plate's Alvarez unsure about a January move amid multiple rumors
Julian Alvarez of River Plate has been connected with a number of big teams in Italy and Europe, and the attacker has been unwilling to rule out a January transfer.
In 21 games in the Argentine Superliga this season, the 21-year-old has netted 18 goals.
Inter, as well as Juventus, AC Milan, and Manchester United, have been monitoring the starlet.
Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, according to
Diario Olé
, have lately contacted the Argentinian outfit, requesting information on the talented striker.
The Argentine outlet publishes the newest striker statements, with Alvarez reluctant to rule out a January departure.
"I don't know what will happen. We'll see if I'll start the pre-season in January or if something else will happen," he said.
"I will make the best decision for me at the right time."
The striker's agreement with River will laps in December 2022, but the side and the player are in negotiations about extending it for another year.
Alvarez's deal has a €20 million release fee, which, as per Olé, increases to €25 million in the final ten days of the transfer period.
Inter vice-chairman
Javier Zanetti
stated that the
Serie Aside might not be able to activate the player's release clause in January, whilst
Juventus
can only recruit fresh players on loan with a purchase option.
