Barcelona in talks with Chelsea over Werner and Ziyech
The Blaugrana are aiming to strengthen the squad by recruiting in the January transfer window.
Xavi
plans to acquire a forward who is able to turn things around in the final third and
Barcelona, as per reports from
Diario Sport, are considering two players who may arrive from
Chelsea.
The Blues are willing to cash in on
Timo Werner
and
Hakim Ziyech
if the financial conditions are met. The two parties are negotiating, with the Catalans having contacted the London club in October about the duo, with more preference toward the latter. The two players are open to departing the
Premier Leaguein order to gain more game-time.
25-year-old Werner made a move to Chelsea in 2020 from Leipzig after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga but he has since been struggling to be on form. Ziyech, meanwhile, joined the Blues around the same time after a barnstorming period at Ajax, but he has not been impressive so far.
