Inter motivated to keep Brozovic
Inter CEO wants to keep Marcelo Brozovic despite the negotiations’ situation.
CEO
Giuseppe Marotta
is still optimistic about the club’s negotiations with
Marcelo Brozovic, insisting that he will do the same as
Nicolo Barellaand
Lautaro Martinezand sign a new contract with the club.
The player’s contract with Inter will expire at the end of the season, and big European clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle United are interested in signing the player, and the Croatia international will be able to negotiate the details of a pre-contract with any club at the beginning of January but Inter is motivated to reach an agreement with him before that.
Marotta has talked about Brozovic’s situation ahead of their Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, insisting that he is hopeful about the Croatian midfielder’s future at San Siro.
"We are aware that we are offering the right ingredients for him, ones that cannot easily be found at other clubs,"
Marotta told Sky Sport Italia
.
"I am optimistic about the renewal. We did Barella and Lautaro and I think we will continue with the others as well."
Brozovic played 33 games in the season that Inter won the Scudetto and ended Juventus’ dominance over the domestic competition and has played in all of their games this season which shows his importance for the club, but we have to wait and see if the club can keep the player or not.
