Rodgers comments on 'disrespectful' Man Utd rumors

Leicester manager reflects on ‘unreal’ Man Utd speculations.

Manchester United

are nearing a 5-year trophy drought as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is experiencing his third season as the manager of the Red Devils.

Solskjaer has been under pressure due to United’s poor performance since the beginning of the new season and the criticisms have been intensified following the Red Devils’ Premier League losses against

Liverpool

and

Manchester City

.

Leicester

boss Brendan Rodgers has recently been linked with the Man United job, with rumors suggest that Rodgers is the top candidate to replace Solskjaer, should the Devils decide to part ways with the Norwegian boss.

Rodgers himself, however, dismisses these rumors, insisting that the speculations are ‘not real’.

"There's two things. Firstly, it's really disrespectful for you to ask the question when you have a manager in place, a good manager and a good man, who is working for the club,’

the Irish tactician said.

"Secondly, I can't really comment on it because it is something that is not real. I am here as the Leicester City manager, I'm proud to be here, privileged to be here and fully committed to the players, the club, the ownership.

"That's about it really. All the other noise around that is something that we can't control. I've focused, like I have done in my career, so the only club I'm thinking about is Chelsea and getting ready for that."
