Gullit has talked about Milan’s defeat against Liverpool

Ruud Gullit thinks that Milan was lucky in the Champions League despite their defeat.

in the Champions League, insisting that the Serie A side was lucky in that game despite their 3-2 defeat. The Dutchman thinks that Stefano Pioli’s men were lucky to be able to score two goals in that game.

“It’s nice to see Milan up there once again,”

Gullit said as quoted by Milannews

“It’s very early in the season, but I think Inter, Juventus, Napoli and Milan can win the title. Of course, I hope Milan will win it.

“I watched the match against Liverpool, they suffered and they were a little lucky to score two goals,” the former midfielder continued.

“However, it is essential to understand how to play in the Champions League, so I believe this game will help Milan going forward.

“Milan are much better than what they had been over the last few years. They had a few problems since Berlusconi left, finally, they’ve taken the right path.”

Gullit, who has won three Serie A titles and two Champions League titles in his time in Milan, has also talked about his former teammate

Paolo Maldini

saying that he is happy that one of his friends is working at the club.

“He is doing a good job and I am pleased somebody I know is working at Milan,”
