Atletico Madrid face injury concerns in centre-back
Atletico Madrid are facing a dilemma regarding their centre-backs’ fitness.

’s side only two weeks before the start of the La Liga season.

Atletico Madridmanager must have been frustrated and shocked to see his other starting centre-back sustain an injury during their pre-season friendly clash.
When Atletico were defeated 1-0 at the hands of
Salzburg,
Mario Hermoso
had to be sent off the pitch after just 20 minutes from the start of the clash.
Now, it has to be seen whether he is going to be out of action for a while; however, according to
Diario AS, the defender was in the gym on Thursday, trying to regain his full fitness.
Simeone can depend on Jose Maria Gimenez and Felipe, but they have just come back from their pre-season training.

, who is in the B team, has been playing in the friendly clashes for Atletico Madrid and has impressed during their loss to Salzburg, notwithstanding being outpaced for a strike.
