’s nightmarish pre-season with Derby County took another unexpected turn on Sunday. A number of leaked photos went viral on social media, showing the Derby boss asleep while being surrounded by a group of young women. The photos offer no suggestions that Rooney is aware of the situation.

, people close to Rooney have confirmed the matter has been handed over to Greater Manchester Police. Rooney was also responsible for
the injury of his side’s midfielder Jason Knight. The Derby boss made a careless tackle during the team’s training session, which will sideline the player for up to three months. The English coach is preparing Derby for the new Championship season but has urged the club to add new players to the squad.
"If we can't bring players in over the next two weeks I do not know how we field a team to start the season,”
Rooney told Sky Sports last week.
"I haven't got one centre-back signed to the club, there are two very young players in the U23s and U18s. It would be impossible for me to field a team."
Derby have registered only nine senior players ahead of the upcoming season. The English side will play against
Real Betisin a friendly match on Wednesday.
