4 ways to make sure you have the right squad

The key to winning in fantasy football is selecting the right team.

In this article, you will find the four most important tips, according to

, to avoid fatal mistakes when selecting players.

Remember to check players’ injuries and previous games

This advice sounds obvious, but should not be ignored. Now you can easily find all the necessary information about the players and teams on information sites on the Internet, as well as on social networks.

Be aware of substitutions

In any sport, a substitute is almost as important as a first-team athlete. Football is no exception, so substitutions must be adequate. For example, if Sergio Ramos is injured, and Eder Militao replaces him, the squad will not be ideal.

Prepare a list of alternatives

Most of the time, there are enough matches in daily fantasy football tournaments so you will have enough alternatives available in advance in case one of your key players gets injured before the game or his participation in the match is in doubt.

All you need to do is to check the list of players whose prices are similar to the ones you have chosen, and then create your own ranking of alternatives. This should be based on how many points you think they can bring in.

Of course, you may find this task quite difficult. But then you’ll be glad that you’ve thought about your options, and now you know who you can count on in case your player has a torn ligament in training before the match and can’t play.

Use a universal position

If you are picking a team in advance and you cannot be completely sure that any of your players will definitely appear on the field, use a universal position (Util, Flex or Outfielder) if your DFS site allows you to do so. Put the player who is in doubt in the place of the universal. In this case, if the coach doesn’t play him, you can easily make a substitution as he can be replaced by a player of any position except the goalkeeper.

If you follow these four tips, you can be 100% sure that you have done everything in your power to keep your team from failing.
