Chelsea send improved bid to sign Achraf Hakimi

According to transfer news from Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have upped their offer for Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi as they look to beat PSG to his signing.

The Blues have made signing a new right wing-back one of their top priorities this summer and

Hakimi

is their number one target.

Chelsea

are already believed to have made an initial offer worth €50million plus

Emerson Palmieri

, but have proposed three more players to Inter to try to secure a deal for the right wing-back, with

Mateo Kovacic

one of the surprise names who could be included in the swap.

The 22-year-old has become an integral player for Inter since signing from

Real Madrid

last summer, Hakimi played a pivotal part in the 2020/21 campaign as the Nerazzurri went on to lift the Scudetto for the first time in 11 years.

However, despite their success, Inter have financial problems and need to make at least €80m this summer from player sales to balance their books. With star striker,

Romelu Lukaku

committed to the club, it is likely that Hakimi could be sold by the Italian champions.

The report also claims that Chelsea would be willing to add another player into the deal with

Davide Zappacosta

,

Mateo Kovacic

, or

Tammy Abraham

the main options they were thinking of.

However, Inter are only interested in selling Hakimi for a cash offer, and they are not considering swap deals at the moment.
