Sneijder lauds Goran Pandev: He is vastly underrated in his career
At Euro 2020, Goran Pandev will represent Northern Macedonia. Wesley Sneijder considers the seasoned Genoa striker as a 'vastly underrated' player.
He will be 38 next month and has intimated that he may retire after the tournament, despite Genoa's best efforts to persuade him to sign a new deal.
"Pandev has a fantastic left foot and a real goal-scoring instinct," former Inter teammate Sneijder told De Telegraaf.
"I think he's a wonderful player and what makes him special is he always has a vision of the game and can see the passing channels to send his teammates on goal.
"He's also a great person, he loves football and in my view has been vastly under-rated throughout his career. He's ruthless in the box."
