Mbappe will stay at PSG - Al Khelaifi

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi insisted that the France international will remain put.

According to

Nasser Al-Khelaifi

,

Kylian Mbappe

is going to stay at the Parc de Princes ‘100 percent’, notwithstanding

Paris Saint Germain

not grabbing the Ligue 1 title.

The French forward met the back of the net in his side’s 2-0 victory over Brest on Sunday but it did not help them win the Ligue 1 title and deny

Lille

of their triumph.

PSG also failed to vanquish

Manchester City

in the Champions League semi-finals and the 22-year-old, who is once again Ligue 1’s top scorer, has been targeted by many clubs around Europe. His achievement of being the top scorer for the third consecutive season made him the first player to do so since Jean-Pierre Papin won it five times.

Mbappe’s contract will expire in less than a year and among his favorite destinations in the future are Real Madrid and Liverpool.

However, the PSG president insisted that the France international will stay at the club when being interviewed by

Canal +

.

"

For me, Kylian is a PSG player and will be a PSG player. I am not worried,"

he said.

"Do not worry, let us work. Mbappe is Parisian. He is French, he is Parisian, he is under contract and he wants to stay 100 per cent.

"He's not going anywhere. We are not blocked at all. We are really calm, very relaxed."

As for Mbappe himself, he expressed his dedication to the club.

"

I cannot say what needs to be done, I am just a player, but I think that people have seen, everyone has seen,"

he said.

"When everyone sees, it is easier to draw conclusions, but there is no problem. We lost the title, but now we have to concentrate on the future.

"Everyone knows how profoundly attached I am to the club. I have always been very thankful towards the president, my different coaches.

"What I want, is to win, feel like I am somewhere where I can win, where there is a solid project around me. The footballing project is essential."
