Mourinho speaks of his desire to sign Belotti for Roma

New Roma coach, Jose Mourinho has selected Torino striker, Andrea Belotti to fortify his attacking system for next season, but also said that Edin Dzeko could stay.

Paulo Fonseca

will leave the team after the current campaign after two years and Jose Mourinho has already been announced to take over

Roma

for three years.

Based on the

Corriere dello Sport

, The Special One has already selected Belotti as the perfect player to lead their attack.

Belotti

’s deal is about to end in June 2022 and contract renewal is unlikely to be an option because Torino are again trying to avoid relegation at the end of this season.

While he once had a €100m release clause, valid only for teams outside of Italy, the 27-year-old's price tag has fallen considerably.

Belotti has netted 12 goals and provided seven assists in 31 Serie A matches this season.

This report also declares that Dzeko doesn’t necessarily have to leave, as he could play and train beside the Italian, as well as be an alternative to him.
