then banned him from four UEFA club fixtures as a punishment because of assaulting another player and directing abusive language at a match official.

Atletico Madrid boss

Diego Simeone

also received a warning due to a late kick-off to the game and the club itself received a €10,000 fine. The club then were ordered to pay a further €14,000 fine for improper conduct of the team.
