Peter Bosz is dismissed as Leverkusen coach

Bayer Leverkusen have decided to fire their coach, Peter Bosz after his poor management in 2021.

The Bundesliga team have officially published that

Peter Bosz

has been sacked as Bayer Leverkusen coach with immediate effect.

Hannes Wolf, who is currently the Germany U18 coach, is selected to join Leverkusen to manage the team until this season ends and Peter Hermann will step in as his assistant coach.

"I

n view of the footballing development in recent weeks, we have come to the conclusion that the separation from Peter Bosz can no longer be avoided,"

sporting director, Rudi Völler commented.

"The 0-3 defeat on Sunday at Hertha BSC was unfortunately telling, our team has lapsed into the same patterns again and again recently. We have not managed to stop the repetitive mistakes and return to the winning track.

"After a factual and very open analysis of the sporting situation, we therefore agreed to take this step despite the continuing high regard for Peter Bosz."

Leverkusen

are now standing 6th in the Bundesliga table.
