Portugal international is full of praise for the Arsenal youngster

Portugal international Bruma says he knew from the first moment he met Emile Smith Rowe that he was a great talent and would go for the top.

The two players were teammates in the second half of the 2018-19 season in RB Leipzig because the

Arsenal

youngster had gone to the Bundesliga on loan.

Bruma, who currently plays for Olympiacos, will face Arsenal in the Europa League tomorrow and expects to face Smith.

Speaking to Goal ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League last-16 first-leg clash, Bruma was full of praise for his former teammate.

It doesn’t surprise me at all,

” Bruma said, when asked if he was surprised by Smith Rowe’s sudden progress.

“At training and in matches we could see a lot of his skills and technique.

“Emile’s a great player. He can turn the match in one move and unbalance everything with his skills.

“He still has a lot to grow and to get better, but he’s at a great team and I wish him all the best. I want him to reach his full potential.”
