Manchester City will try to sign Erling Haaland

The PSG star's salary requirements make his signing financially unviable as the Citizens focus on Erling Haaland.

Manchester City will make every effort to sign the Borussia Dortmund youngster

Erling Haaland

after they withdrew from signing

Kylian Mbappé

due to his high price tag.

Pep Guardiola is looking to sign a striker in the summer to bolster his squad.

Romelu Lukaku

and

Harry Kane

are mentioned as possible options for Manchester City.

Haaland has been outstanding this season, scoring 29 goals in 28 appearances for the BVB and it seems that the Citizens will do their best to sign the Borussia Dortmund Norwegian star.

It should be noted that Manchester City have a challenging task ahead of them to transfer the 20-year-old as big European teams such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also looking to sign him.

Given that the big teams want to sign Haaland, his transfer price will definitely be high. However, he is in some ways a more attractive option than MBappe, as his salary is probably lower than the French World Cup winner.
