Steven Gerrard to miss St. Mirren match for outburst at Livingston win

The Light Blues boss has been given a one match-ban, after swearing at the referee in their 1-0 win on Wednesday.

Rangers

head-coach, Steven Gerrard, is expected to miss their upcoming clash with

St. Mirren

, after failing to control his temper in their 1-0 win against

Livingston

and swearing at referee, John Beaton, during half-time.

Gerrard’s outburst came after the referee decided to book

Alfredo Morelos

for simulation, which was followed by two yellow cards and a one match-ban caused by

"misconduct at a match"

for the Light Blues boss.

If Rangers choose to appeal against the suspension, the club could present their case in a Hampden hearing on March 25th, otherwise the

Liverpool

legend will miss their St. Mirren match.

The

Premiership

leaders will have till Wednesday to decide on whether to accept the punishment or not.

If Gerrard’s squad win their upcoming match while

Celtic

fail to gain the three winning points from their clash with

Dundee United

, Rangers will be crowned the 2020-21 league winners.
